Nokia 888 is a concept mobile phone , with a bracelet-like design that has never been endorsed by Nokia. This mobile phone concept has been designed by the industrial designer Tamer Nakisci and won the Benelux design contest in 2005. Three years have passed since the award and still no mobile phone company has put it in practice.
The phone has an amazing design , you can fold it in many ways according to your needs. You can wear it as a bracelet , roll it , bend it and wear it as a clip on your clothes. It is amazing how fun this mobile can be.
Nokia 888 Concept is mostly targeted to teenagers that are very active and take place in a lot of different activities.
Nokia 888 is just a concept right now, but soon it will be reality. As tehnology adcances day by day we will be soon able to hold a phone like the 888 in our hands.

It has All New Design is Thinner, Lighter & Faster with FaceTime, Smart Covers & 10 Hour Battery .

Apple has introduced iPad™ 2, the next generation of its magical device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading ebooks and much more. iPad 2 features an entirely new design that is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad, while maintaining the same stunning 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen. iPad 2 features Apple’s new dual-core A5 processor for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics and now includes two cameras, a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime® and Photo Booth®, and a rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video, bringing the innovative FaceTime feature to iPad users for the first time. Though it is thinner, lighter, faster and packed with new features, iPad 2 still delivers up to 10 hours of battery life* that users have come to expect. iPad 2 is available in black or white, features models that run on AT&T’s and Verizon’s 3G networks, and introduces the innovative iPad 2 Smart Cover in a range of vibrant polyurethane and rich leather colors.

“With more than 15 million iPads sold, iPad has defined an entirely new category of mobile devices,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “While others have been scrambling to copy the first generation iPad, we’re launching iPad 2, which moves the bar far ahead of the competition and will likely cause them to go back to the drawing boards yet again.”

With the new front and rear cameras, iPad 2 users can now make FaceTime calls to millions of iPhone® 4, iPod touch® and Mac® users so they can see family and friends anywhere there is Wi-Fi. Photo Booth lets you apply fun visual effects, including eight photo special effects like Squeeze, Twirl and Kaleidoscope, to photos captured by either camera.

iPad 2 comes with iOS 4.3, the latest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, with new features including faster Safari® mobile browsing performance; iTunes® Home Sharing; enhancements to AirPlay®;** the choice to use the iPad side switch to either lock the screen rotation or mute audio; and Personal Hotspot to share an iPhone 4 cellular data connection over Wi-Fi.*** Additional iPad 2 features include a built-in gyro for advanced gaming; HSUPA support for enhanced 3G upload speeds on iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G on AT&T, and HDMI Video Mirroring that lets users mirror their iPad screen on an HDTV using an optional adaptor.

The innovative new iPad 2 Smart Cover provides protection for the iPad screen while maintaining its thin and lightweight profile. Designed with a unique self-aligning magnetic hinge that makes it easy to attach and remove, the new iPad 2 Smart Cover automatically wakes iPad 2 when it’s opened and puts it to sleep when it’s closed, and has a soft microfiber lining to help keep the screen clean. The Smart Cover also folds into a stand for typing or viewing videos and is available in vibrant polyurethane for $39 or rich leather for $69 in a range of colors, including a (PRODUCT) RED one which helps support the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Apple also introduced two new apps: iMovie® and GarageBand® for iPad, both available on the App Store℠ for just $4.99 each. With iMovie, iPad 2 users can shoot and edit videos right on their iPad and post their movies to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and their MobileMe℠ gallery; watch them on their iPod®, iPhone or iPad; as well as view them on their HDTV using AirPlay and Apple TV®. GarageBand turns your iPad into a collection of touch instruments and 8-track recording studio, allowing you to perform with onscreen keyboards, guitars, drums and basses using multi-touch gestures–even if you don’t play a musical instrument.

iPad 2 runs almost all of the over 350,000 apps available on the App Store and there are more than 65,000 native iPad apps available from an incredible range of apps in 20 categories, including games, business, news, sports, health, reference and travel. As technology progresses we are finally seeing gaming laptops become serious competitors to gaming desktops, HP are hoping that the HP Envy 17 notebook does just this, recently Engadget reviewed this model and things sound promising.

If you would like to see Engadget’s full review check out this link, in this article we will raise some of the main points raised, but Engadget’s article is a lot more detailed.

The HP Envy 17 starts at $1,299, however if you choose a lot of the optional extras it is easy to bump the price up to $3,000 to $3,500. There are 6 processors to choose from, as standard you get an Intel Core i5-460M (Dual-core 2.53 GHz), however if money is no object you could choose the Intel Core i7-840QM processor (Quad-core 1.86GHz).

Other options include either 6GB or 8GB of DDR3, a range of hard drive configurations from a single 500GB drive to 800GB of storage via a 160GB SSD combined with a 640GB standard hard disk drive, you can find out more about spec upgrades here.

As standard you get a backlit keyboard, Intel WiFi b/g/n connectivity and 1GB of Radeon HD 5850 graphics, there are two displays to choose from, both of which have a 17.3-inch diagonal, the cheaper HP BrightView display supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 900, whilst the more expensive HP Ultra BrightView display supports a resolution of up to 1920×1080.

As you can imagine the hardware allows great visuals, however how does it cope as a gaming platform? Well it is not perfect, as you would expect an external mouse is needed as using a touchpad with the W, A, S, D keys does not really work.

The great hardware within the Envy 17 does cause a few problems, the battery life from the standard 6-cell battery is not great, Engadget’s rundown test latest just 2 hours and 10 mins, however if this is a problem you could choose the 9-cell battery instead for an extra $75.

Finally all of this impressive hardware makes the laptop heavy and run quite hot, as you can imagine this heat can be felt on your palms when using the laptop, I suppose this will come in handy on the cold winters nights.

All in all HP has done well with the Envy 17, there are a few imperfections, but the graphics look great on the 17.3-inch display, and let’s face it anyone forking out this much on a laptop wants stunning visuals.

LG GT540 Optimus Android is a smartphone with affordable high-end properties. LG has abandoned the QWERTY keyboard of the new Optimus, but is having a big, bright 3.2-inch touch screen. Look, the GT540 seems anything but cheap, the curved design and brushed metal with the result that the phone looks more like a high-end, which suggests its price.

LG Display Optimus GT450 is a 320 x 480 pixels, so it is easy to read text, and is ideal for watching movies on the road. Optimus smartphones have full access to Wi-Fi, 3G HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity and a GPS chip that allows the turn-by-turn navigation with Google Maps. Optimus GT450 makes a great media player with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, so you can use your favorite phone, as well as FM radio and native support for DivX video codec.

Although the LG GT450 Optimus running version 1.6 of Android now outdated, is still able to access the Android Market, where you can download many free and paid applications and games, and a welcome screen customized with preinstalled widgets that allow direct access to social networking sites and applications in common use. Optimus has a 3 megapixel camera capable of decent pictures, but lacks a flash, and comes with geo-tagging and face recognition modes.

Proved to be a large market for mid-range smartphones like the Optimus LG, with its elegant look and decent list of features, LG has made an enormous effort to produce a phone that can cope with competition from Samsung and HTC. With the combined budgets of all the key question is always what counts for cutting, and Optimus decision to use a resistive touch screen is probably the biggest complaint against him.

A decision incomprehensible is that LG has chosen to go with a now outdated version of Android for Optimus, while future updates are of course possible. It's a shame that GT540 comes with several features like Wi-Fi and GPS, the latest Android build preparing such a good use with features such as satellite navigation and push e-mail. However, Optimus GT540 is a decent handset collected from LG, higher expectations for what is expected at this price level.

HTC EVO 4G Power Management

The HTC EVO 4G offers new capabilities for a smartphone that require more power, which can impact its battery life more than what you may have experienced using other smartphones.

- It has more radios to power (3G, 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS).
- It features a larger screen than most typical smartphones.
- It offers more capabilities than most typical smartphones, including:
>>>Management of multiple email accounts and syncing
>>>WiFi access point
>>>WiFi Router capability
>>>4G data
>>>GPS
>>>Access to several 3rd party applications through the Market
>>>Applications and Processes running in the background

With the HTC EVO 4G, you have the ability to manage your phone's power consumption to optimize its battery life. These include:
Battery Usage Tools
Before you are ready to charge your phone you can view what has been using your battery during this charge cycle.

- Settings -> About Phone -> Battery -> Battery use

Multiple Radios

The multiple radios on this device will use battery life even when you are not using them.

- To improve battery life, turn off your Bluetooth, GPS, 4G, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Sprint Mobile Hotspot if you are not using them.

4G Connectivity

The 4G radio should only be turned ON when the improved network speed is required for an application, such as YouTube, Web Browsing, or Sprint Mobile Hotspot. When not in use, its important to use the built-in 4G widget (preloaded on Home tile left of center) to turn the 4G radio OFF.

If you have your 4G radio ON, but are no longer in 4G coverage then your device will be scanning in an attempt to re-acquire the 4G network. Your battery can be significantly drained by the scanning processes, so if you know you will be out of 4G coverage for an extended period of time or if you are not acquiring a 4G signal as indicated in the task bar, it would be important to turn your 4G radio OFF.
E-mail Applications Settings

The e-mail settings allow you to setup peak and off-peak hours for e-mail sync on each email account.

- Pop Account
>>>Mail -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> Send & Receive -> Set Download Frequency
- Exchange Account
>>>Mail -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> Send & Receive -> Schedule

Generally, less frequent syncing equates to better battery life.

Google Talk

As soon as you sign up for the Google Market or Gmail with your Gmail account information, you are also signed in to the Google Talk instant messaging application. The Talk application tracks the presence of your Google Talk contacts in order to let you know who is available to instant message. Each presence change uses a small amount of power even if you do not have the Talk application open.

If you have numerous contacts who are changing presence throughout the day all of these small impacts to your battery can add up to significantly shorten your battery life.

Switching between 3G and 4G coverage

When switching between 3G and 4G coverage, the HTC EVO 4G may experience a very brief interruption of data service as the device switches network connections. During this brief interruption, applications attempting to access data may be unable to do so and may display an error message. Below are some examples of how to proceed if an error message appears on the device. Other data-usage applications may experience a very brief interruption and will continue functioning once the network handoff is complete.

- Mail application: Simply tap the Cancel button and refresh your inbox after a few seconds by tapping Menu > Refresh.
- Browser application: Simply wait a few seconds and attempt loading the webpage again by tapping the refresh arrows or re-entering the address.
- YouTube: Simply tap the OK button and attempt loading the desired video again
- Sprint Mobile Hotspot: The Sprint Mobile Hotspot will remain on, but there will be no internet connectivity until the device reconnects to the data network.
- Pandora: Pandora may briefly pause until connectivity to the data network is restored
